Hot Brown Casserole

Cheese Sauce:

2 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup flour

2 cups milk

1/4 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Melt butter in medium sauce pan.  Add flour, stirring constantly.  Slowly add milk – continue stirring.  When milk is hot (do not boil) add cheeses and Worcestershire sauce.  When cheese is melted – set aside.

10 slices white bread – toasted and cubed

1 pound cooked turkey breast (sliced or pulled)

2 large tomatoes (sliced thinly)

1/2 pound bacon (cooked and crumbled)

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Spray or grease 9X11 casserole dish.  Place toasted bread in dish, top with turkey.  Pour cheese sauce over bread and turkey.  Top with tomato slices and bacon.  Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.  Bake until hot through and bubbly (approx. 30 minutes).

Note:  Tomatoes may be added after baking if desired.

Note:  Freezes well.  Do not add tomatoes until ready to thaw and heat.
